Western Port Tourism Inc.

The local tourism region of Western Port covers businesses from Pearcedale and Somerville in the north, through Tyabb, Hastings, Bittern, Crib Point, Somers, Balnarring, Merricks North, Shoreham and to Flinders and Cape Schanck in the south. A very important area of our region is French Island.

As an L.T.A. (local tourism association), our group meets together on the first Tuesday of each month at 6.30pm for approximately 2 hours. Each month our meeting is hosted at one of the businesses in our group.  This gives the operator an opportunity to promote the business to all other members of Western Port Tourism.  For next meeting venue, please contact a member of the committee.

We are very fortunate to have several of the major tourism operators on the Peninsula as members of Western Port - Ashcombe Maze, Cape Schanck Lightstation, Moonlit Sanctuary and the operators on French Island as well as a great deal of experience from people who have been in business here for many years.

As a group, our aim is to increase the profile of the Western Port region, to bring visitors down the "M1" to the lesser known side of the Peninsula to enjoy all the we have to offer. Signs have been erected at information shelters at Hastings and Flinders. We look forward with hope to the installation of the Oberon submarine at Crib Point.
